Areas of Work in Research and Practice

  • Transdisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Transformation Research: Theory-driven and practice-oriented research on societal transformation processes, with a particular focus on social and cultural sustainability.
  • Facilitation and Co-Design of Transformation Processes: Conceptualization, facilitation, and support of participatory transformation processes and real-world laboratories (Living Labs) in organizations, institutions, and community settings.
  • Sociological Analysis, Evaluation, and Consulting: Support and evaluation of processes and projects, including mixed-methods analyses; preparation of studies, reports, and expert assessments.
  • Knowledge Transfer and Teaching: Design and delivery of university courses, workshops, and professional development formats in higher education as well as non-academic practice settings.
  • Publications and Public Engagement: Author of academic and essayistic publications; regular keynote speaker and invited presenter.
